1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General
Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in UN Development Business,
issue no. 642 of 16 November 2004.
2. Bosnia and Herzegovina has received a credit from the International
Development Association toward the cost of Urban Infrastructure and Service
Delivery Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit
to payments under the Contract for procurement of Raw Water Process and
Monitoring Equipment for the "Novoselija 2" Water Treatment Plant.

3. The "Vodovod" a.d. Banja Luka now invites sealed bids from
eligible and qualified bidders for procurement of Raw Water Process and
Monitoring Equipment for the "Novoselija 2" Water Treatment Plant.
The delivery period is 150-180 days of contract signing.
4. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding
(ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA
Credits May 2004, and
is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the
Guidelines.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from

2.00 PM CET.
6. Qualifications requirements include:
(a) Financial Capability
The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the following
financial requirements:
(i) The Bidder must send authorized documents reflecting annual business
activities, that is, audited Financial Statements of the Company for the last
five years, the average value of which business cannot be less than Euro
1,500,000.00 per year in the case of a bid for one lot or Euro 3,000,000.00 per
year in the case of a bid for both lots.
If the bidder is a Joint Venture (JV), all members of the JV should be jointly
and severally liable for the contract implementation and should jointly meet
all qualification requirements. The average value of the business of member in
charge should at least the equivalent of Euro 1,000,000 in case of a bid for
one lot and at least Euro 2,000,000 in case of a bid for both lots.
(b) Experience and Technical Capacity
The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate their meeting the
following experience related requirements:
(i) The Bidder must be established and active in business involving
manufacturing or selling goods similar to the above mentioned (Section VI.
Schedule of Requirements, 3. Technical specifications) in the period of five
(5) years prior to the deadline for submission of bids.
If the bidder is a Joint Venture (JV), each of the members of the JV should
meet these requirements.
(ii)The Bidder’s Bid must include documentary evidences and references for at
least 2 previous, successfully completed similar contracts in the last 5 years
for supply of similar equipment including:
Lot 1: Clarification equipment rapid and slow mixers, lamella plates, outlet of
clarified water, sludge thickener, sludge re-circulation pumps and chemical
dosing equipment, dosing pumps, dosing vessels, static tube mixer, diffuser and
flow meters, with capacities similar to the ones of the equipment required
under the current bid and at an amount of not less than the amount of its
quoted price for the current bid;
Lot 2: Clarification equipment and chemical dosing equipment, ozone generator,
ozone generator equipment, main PLC system, ozone injection equipment, ozone
destruction equipment, ambient ozone monitoring, produced ozone analyzer,
cooling system for ozone generator, with capacities similar to the ones of the
equipment required under the current bid and at an amount of not less than the
amount of its quoted price for the current bid;
If the bidder is a Joint Venture (JV), each of the members of the JV should
have at least one successfully completed similar contract during the last 5 years
for supply of similar equipment, as indicated above, for each lot/s the bidder
is bidding.
A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be
applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
7. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by
interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address
below and upon payment of a non refundable fee BAM 500.00 or 250.00 EUR. The
method of payment will be transfer on bank accounts mentioned below. The
Bidding Documents will be sent by courier.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 12:30 p.m. March
25, 2009. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders representatives who choose
to attend in person at the address below at 12:30 p.m. on March 25, 2009. All
bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of minimum 2% of the bid price for
each separate Lot.

1. The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has
received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development
toward the cost of the Bukhara and Samarkand Water Supply Project, and intends
to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for
construction works in Samarkand City according to following Lots:
Lot No. 1 Reconstruction of Sattepo-Gormolzavod water
conduit (D400);
Lot No. 2 -
Reconstruction of water network in Kurchatova street (D250)
2. Samarkand Municipal Production State Enteprise Suvokova now invites sealed bids
from eligible bidders for the above-mentioned works grouped into the Lots. The
bidders may bid for any one, or both lots under this invitation. Lots will be
evaluated and contract awarded separately on a lot by lot basis.
The bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding
procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA
Credits
(current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the
guidelines.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect
the bidding documents from the Project Coordination Unit at the address below
during office hours (9.00-18.00). A complete set of the bidding documents in
English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written
application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee. The
fee, to defray printing and mailing/shipping costs, should be nominal of 250
000,0 Uzbek Soums or US$ 200. The method of payment will be Bank transfer to
the stipulated below account. The document will be sent by air-mail for
overseas delivery and by courier for local delivery.

4. Bids shall be valid for a period of 60 days after Bid opening and must be
accompanied by a bid security for the respective Lot(s):
Lot No.1 10 000 000,0 Uzbek Soums or US$ 8 000
Lot No.2 5 000 000,0 Uzbek Soums or US$ 4 000
or its equivalent in a hard currency, for each lot, and shall be delivered to
the address below on or before 16:00 of March 31, 2009, at which time they will
